An OH-58 Kiowa provide security during a live fire mortar exercise conducted by soldiers from 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division with Iraqi army soldiers in Mosul, Iraq, Jan. 25. The purpose of the range was to help the Iraqi army familiarize themselves with their weapons systems. The range was conducted by soldiers from 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. Soldiers with 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division are deployed in support of Operation New Dawn.
