U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Curtis R. Davis, a chaplain assistant with Joint Sustainment Command – Afghanistan, ponders the words of Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Edward R. Coutta during a weekly Bible study at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Jan. 12. The weekly Bible study provides service members with the opportunity to discuss various Bible verses and engage in conversation about faith-based issues being faced in the combat zone. JSC-A is comprised of the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, a Mississippi Army National Guard unit, that has been deployed to Afghanistan since October.
