Col. Lawrence Jackson, 732nd Expeditionary Mission Support Group commander, pins the Defense of Freedom Medal on the lapel of Special Agent Kris Akria Miyasato, Weapons and Intelligence Team assistant leader, during an award ceremony Jan. 29. Miyasato sustained injuries to right leg and burns to his arms Oct. 8, 2006 when an improvised explosive device detonated next to the vehicle he was driving.
