Rear Adm. Eleanor V. Valentin, center, commander of Navy Medicine Support Command, speaks with World War II veteran, Marie Collins, at the dedication ceremony of the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans' Nursing Home in St. Augustine, Fla. Collins, a guest at the ceremony, was a Navy Wave from 1944 to 1945. Valentin presented a plaque and letter from the crew of the guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen. The Lassen nursing home is Florida's first veterans' nursing home named after a U.S. Navy veteran.
