Col. Michael Goetz holds a tent stake pounder and extractor prototype at Fort McCoy, Wis., on Aug. 6. Goetz, commander of the 644 Regional Support Group of Fort Snelling, Minn. He came up with the idea two years ago and it was built during Combat Support Training Exercise 2010.
