U.S. Army Spc. Joel LeMaistre of 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera) high fives a young Iraqi boy during a dismounted patrol through a local village near Kirkuk, Iraq, May 8. U.S. Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division and Bravo Company, 414th Civil Affairs Battalion visited villages around Kirkuk to gather atmospherics by meeting and speaking with the locals about current conditions in the area.
