More than 100,000 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered to Beirut, Lebanon by the U.S. Navy's High Speed Vessel Swift (HSV 2), August 4, 2006. More than $2 million worth of humanitarian aid was donated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and with the help of Islamic Relief Organization, will be disbursed to approximately 20,000 Lebanese citizens.
