Minnesota National Guard Spc. Kassandra Rutherford of Dundas, Minn., was promoted to sergeant by Sgt. Christina Oanes during a April 16 ceremony at Camp Ripley, Minn. Rutherford was at Camp Ripley to attend weapons qualification with the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade based in St. Paul, Minn.
