Maj. Gen. Nelson Cannon, the United States forces - Iraq deputy commanding general for detainee opertions, speaks at the 89th Military Police Brigade Transfer of Authority Ceremony at Camp Cropper, Iraq, April 24. The 89th MP Bde. wrapped up a their year in Iraq by transfering authority to the 49th MP Tactical Command Post and the 705th Military Police battalion. The 89th was responsible for overseeing the closure of Camp Bucca in Sept. 2009 and the transfer of the Taji detentiion facility to the Government of Iraq in March 2010.
