Soldiers of the 47th Combat Support Hospital stand at parade rest during their redeployment ceremony held at the Soldiers Field House, Joint Base Lewis-McChord Feb. 6. The early morning event saw about 200 Soldiers return from a yearlong deployment to Iraq in which they assumed control of the 1st Forward Surgical Medical Detachment, operated three Level III hospitals near the cities of Tikrit, Mosul, and Al Asad- providing surgical, nursing, and ancillary care to military personnel throughout the northern and western portions of the Iraqi theater of operations.
