Col. Bryant E, Harp (left), and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Mullaney, 47th Combat Support Hospital, formally uncased their guidon as part of the units redeployment ceremony at Soldiers Field House, Joint Base Lewis-McChord Feb. 6. The early morning event saw about 200 Soldiers return from a year long deployment to Iraq in which they assumed control of the 1st Forward Surgical Medical Detachment, operated three Level III hospitals near the cities of Tikrit, Mosul, and Al Asad- providing surgical, nursing, and ancillary care to military personnel throughout the northern and western portions of the Iraqi theater of operations.
