U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of Combined Joint Task Force-82 and 82nd Airborne Division, addresses the audience during the Veterans Day ceremony at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 11. Scaparrotti thanked all Service Members, past and present, for their service and spoke on what Veterans Day means to him. The ceremony included the laying of two wreaths, one for Armistice Day and one for Veterans Day; guest speakers Scaparrotti, and Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Dave Henderson, safety officer for CJTF-82; and a video presentation highlighting the efforts of the U.S. Armed Forces throughout history. Service members from all branches of the Armed Forces and servicemembers from several different nations, who are serving in Afghanistan, attended the ceremony.
