Kelvin Sampson, NCAA basketball coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, has Team Ali Al put their hands together after a timeout at the Operation Hardwood basketball tournament Aug. 30 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Operation Hardwood "hoops with the troops" is a double-elimination basketball tournament made up of teams of servicemembers from the eight Kuwait military camps. Each team is coached by an NCAA basketball coach, who flew over seas to coach and mentor the teams as well as visit with troops.
