Soldiers execute a 21-gun salute in honor of Sgt. 1st Class Johnny Polk at a memorial service on Forward Operating Base Warrior, Kirkuk, Iraq, Aug. 8. Polk served as an artilleryman and died, July 31, from wounds sustained from a grenade attack in Kirkuk city, Iraq, July 23.
