Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sailors from USS Bataan grill sausage, chicken and ribs for a "Steel Beach" picnic on the flight deck of USS Bataan June 26. Marines and Sailors from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Bataan came together for a day of food, fun and games to build comradery during a scheduled deployment. The MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is currently serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
