The USS Bataan (LHD 5) "Gator" mascot high-fives Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit during a 5 km fun-run on Bataan's flight deck, June 26. Marines and Sailors from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Bataan came together for a day of food, fun and games to build comradery during a scheduled deployment. The MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is currently serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
