    Exercise Red Reef 15

Sailors guide an amphibious assault vehicle, attached to amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45), through the well deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) during Exercise Red Reef 15 cross well recovery training. Red Reef is part of a routine biennial, bilateral exercise focused on increasing the tactical proficiency of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and Royal Saudi Naval Forces. San Diego is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime and theater security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
