The citation of the Medal of Honor for Lt. Vincent Capodanno hangs in the Capodanno Chapel at The Basic School aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia during the ceremony in which the medal was dedicated December 9, 2014. Capodanno served as a Navy chaplain with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment during the Vietnam War and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions.
