U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Ryan McClellan, 455th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, secures patient litters to an aircraft during a medical transportation training scenario Dec. 6, 2014. The training incorporated all aspects of patient transportation from attaching a Special Medical Emergency Evacuation Device, to stabilizing monitors and necessary equipment on the SMEED, loading the patient onto an ambulance bus and finally, securing the gurney on the aircraft and prepping for takeoff.
