    Lance Cpl. Thomas Kang crawls through mud and under barbed wire Nov. 25 while going through the endurance course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves. Thomas and the rest of his unit went through a week of classes before their final test, the endurance course. The course is four miles long that includes rappelling, rope bridges, water obstacles and a simulated casualty station. Kang is a field radio operator with 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
