Members from the Joint Task Force-Bravo U. S. Southern Command Situational Assessment Team move equipment from a CH-47 Chinook landing zone at the Warrior Ramp during air load and fly-away training on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Nov. 25, 2014. The members of the S-SAT received training on setting up a Pre-Positioned Expeditionary Assistance Kit to help prepare the team respond efficiently to humanitarian assistance and disaster response situations throughout U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility. The PEAK is designed to provide sustainable, essential services in the first 72 hours after a disaster event. The training focused on S-SAT familiarization, hands on training and a fly-away event between JTF-Bravo S-SAT personnel, Army Forces Battalion, and 1-228th Aviation Regiment in preparation for an upcoming exercise.
