Local Volunteers support the Louisiana Army National Guard and help hook up a harness to a sandbag during a Disaster Readiness Exercise located at a sandbag staging site in Plaquemines Parish, La., on April 4. Sandbags are used to plug levee breaches and to stop water from overtopping the levee systems.
