Work crews assessed damage on the upper miter gate anchorage at the Chickamauga Lock in Chattanooga, Tenn and plan to reopen Chickamauga Lock to all navigation by Thursday, Nov. 6. After a meeting with engineers, staff and Tennessee Valley Authority officials, Lt. Col. John L. Hudson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, approved reopening Chickamauga Lock to all navigation traffic.
