A mannequin lay amongst the leaves simulating the human remains thrown from an exploded vehicle during an annual anti-terrorism exercise simulating a car-bomb detonation inside the perimeter of the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Nov. 1, 2014. The exercise initiated force protection measures across the base, and it tested the Wing’s ability to respond accordingly. After the car-bomb detonation, the Airmen also performed simulated recovery procedures until concluding the exercise. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Julianne M.
