Staff Sgt. Sean Boyd, of Detroit, Mich., gives a thumbs up sign to an Iraqi boy during a distribution event April 1 in the area of Sumer al-Ghadier, located in the 9 Nissan District of eastern Baghdad. Boyd, and Paratroopers assigned to the Company C, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, were invited by district officials to a local school in order to participate in National Orphan Day. Officials and Iraqi security forces handed out clothes and school supplies to more than 60 orphan children during the event.
