Javier Michael, a Kadena High School student-athlete, pushes through the final steps of a cross country meet here Oct. 1. Two Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific schools, Kadena High School and Kubasaki High School, competed against two local schools, Zion Christian Academy and Okinawa Christian School International, in a 5-kilometer race.
