Pfc. Guntis Stavdzs, a heavy equipment operator with the Construction Engineers, Combat Support Battalion, Land Force Infantry Brigade, Latvia, paints a protective coating on the metal framework of a rappel tower here Sept. 23, 2014. The Latvian engineers welcomed help from U.S. Soldiers of the 902nd Engineer Company (Vertical), 15th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, Grafenwoehr, Germany, who are in Latvia as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a series of exercises to demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO allies.
