Sgt. Kienan Gilcrease, cavalry scout team leader, Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, grabs four filled magazines for his M4 carbine rifle at the ammunition shack during an advanced rifle marksmanship range, Sept. 4, 2014 at Fort Carson, Colo. He spent the last three weeks honing his skills zeroing his weapon sight, qualifying at a pop-up range, engaging targets from up to 600 meters away at a known distance range, a reflexive fire and performing movement techniques.
