Aircrew on a C-17 Globemaster III help troops assigned to 3rd platoon, Apache Troop, 1st Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment download their Strykers during a night time airfield seizure exercise while deployed in support of Exercise Steadfast Javelin II at Leilvarde Airbase, Latvia, Sept. 5, 2014. Steadfast Javelin is a NATO exercise involving over 2,000 troops from 10 nations and focuses on increasing interoperability and synchronizing complex operations between allied air and ground forces.
