Staff Sgt. Jack Stacy, an infantryman assigned to 3rd Platoon, Apache Troop, 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, checks to make sure his troops and their equipment are prepared to take off during the beginning of their deployment in support of Exercise Steadfast Javelin II at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 5, 2014. Steadfast Javelin is a NATO exercise involving over 2,000 troops from 10 nations and focuses on increasing interoperability and synchronizing complex operations between allied air and ground forces.
