U.S. Marine Corps Col. Matthew G. St. Clair, commanding officer of the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, awards Staff Sgt. Vicente E. Perez the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Camp Lejeune, N.C., August 1, 2014. Perez joined the Marine Corps in 1999 and has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a gold star in lieu of second award.
