Cpl. Matthew T. Anderson, center, shows members of the Hokkaido Defense Bureau, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and local community officials the M240B medium machine gun during an observation tour Aug. 26 as part of Artillery Relocation Training Program 14-2 at the Yausubetsu Maneuver Area in Hokkaido. The observation tour opened ARTP 14-2 to the public and afforded them the opportunity to ask questions they had about the training. Anderson is a Louisville, Kentucky, native and field artillery cannoneer with 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
