Guatemalan Brigada de Infanteria de Marina (BIM) Subteniente, Jorge Antonio de la Loma de Leon, an engineering officer, is being presented a certificate of appreciation for being the BIM engineer team lead during a renovation project. The Guatemalan Brigada de Infanteria de Marina (BIM) engineers along with their U.S. counterparts help renovate the Biblioteca Municipal Corporacion 74-78 as part of a humanitarian engineering project in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, Aug. 21, 2014. The U.S. Marines and Sailors were helping to remodel buildings in support of Southern Partnership Station 2014, a combined joint exercise focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nations and security forces as well as military to military engagements and community relations projects in Central America.
