A U.S. service member prepares to eat after a beach cleanup Aug. 23 at the Kin Town Fishing Port. The Kin Town Social Welfare Office coordinated the event, and invited local residents and Camp Hansen military members to pick up trash and enjoy Okinawa soba, fried vegetables and fish. The cleanup is an annual event, and smaller events happen throughout the year to maintain the beach. The Marines are with various units across III Marine Expeditionary Force.
