Cpl. Andrew Michel, a Spokane, Washington, native, picks up trash Aug. 23 at the Kin Town Fishing Port. Michel was one of more than 100 volunteers who attended the annual beach cleanup. The Kin Town Social Welfare Office coordinated the event, and smaller cleanups happen throughout the year to maintain the beaches.
