Maj. Gen. Denis Thompson, force commanding general for Multinational Force and Observers, presents the MFO medal to Sgt. Maj. Gregory Teague, senior enlisted adviser for the 1st Support Battalion, during a U.S. contingent medals parade on North Camp in Sinai, Egypt, Aug. 24. During the parade the Soldiers were awarded their MFO medals. The medal is awarded for six continuous months of service in support of peace in the Sinai. For the Soldiers of the 1st Support Battalion, the award ceremony signifies the rapidly approaching end to their mission. They will start redeploying later this year.
