Marine Corps Sgt. Michael Steele monitors virtual scenarios from the control room of the Gruntworks Research for Infantry Integration Testing during a public open house at the Stafford, Va., facility. GRIIT provides a realistic environment for simulating, testing, and optimizing the Marine's equipment and employs 21 cameras that utilize Office of Naval Research developed video flashlight technology to record all of the action and to replay scenarios as a virtual display.
