Navy and Marine Corps leadership previewed the Gruntworks Research for Infantry Integration Testing during a public open house at the Stafford, Va., facility as part of the Soldier Technology U.S. 2009 conference. GRIIT provides a realistic environment for simulating, testing, and optimizing the Marines' equipment and is the second facility that utilizes an Office of Naval Research funded vivid and realistic virtual environment to prepare warfighters for real combat.
