Retired Sgt. Maj. Al McMichael, the 14th of the U.S. Marine Corps, congratulates the chief petty officer (CPO) selectees at the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, R.I. McMichael discussed the significance of leadership education and stressed the value that the Navy's CPO 365 brings to the fleet. CPO 365 is a year-long career development program designed to hone the basic tenets of teamwork, time management and tenacity in new CPOs.
