Petty Officer 1st Class Kyle Baker, a Maritime Enforcement Specialist from Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound's Vessel Boarding Security Team, practices providing emergency first aid to a teammate during Care Under Fire training with members of the Coast Guard's Station Seattle, the VBST and Maritime Safety and Security Team Seattle. The class, hosted by King County Medic One and officers from Seattle and Bellevue Police Departments, is designed to provide law enforcement and military members basic tactical and medical procedures that they can utilize on themselves or a teammate to increase their chances of survivability if they are wounded or sustain serious injuries during operations.
