Aaron Tyerman, right, Chief of Special Operations, King County Medic One, along with officers from Seattle and Bellevue Police Departments conduct Care Under Fire training with members of the Coast Guard's Station Seattle, Sector Puget Sound Vessel Boarding Security Team and Maritime Safety and Security Team Seattle. The class is designed to provide law enforcement and military members basic tactical and medical procedures that they can utilize on themselves or a teammate to increase their chances of survivability if they are wounded or sustain serious injuries during operations. "'Good medicine can be bad tactics,' is our mantra," said Aaron Tyerman, Chief of Special Operations, King County Medic One. "Performing the right task at the right time is the most crucial element of this training."
