U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Joseph S. Lee, center left, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force officers bow to one another July 18 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma following a static display and tour of the MV-22B Osprey. The bow represents appreciation and respect for one another. The static display allowed the members of the JGSDF to view the Marine Corps aircraft and maintenance work up close. The JGSDF officers are with 15th Aviation Squadron, 15th Brigade, Western Army. Lee is a Moreno Valley, California, native and the executive officer of Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
