U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Sean P. Mulholland, the commander for Special Operations Command South, shake hands as a friendship gesture with Dr. Juan Carlos Pinzon Bueno, the Ministry of Defense for the Republic of Colombia, during the opening ceremony of the Fuerzas Comando competition at Fort Tolemaida, Colombia, July 23. Fuerzas Comando, established in 2004, is an U.S. Southern Command-sponsored special operation skills competition and fellowship program. This event is aimed at enhancing training and strengthening regional and multinational cooperation, mutual trust, readiness, and interoperability of special operations forces in the region.
