Soldiers from the Estonian Scoutspataljon (Single Scouts Infantry Battalion) and a paratrooper from Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, carry a 350-pound litter July 16 in Paldiski, Estonia. The 500-meter trek was one of nine events that culminated a stress-shoot competition which tested the soldiers’ strength, speed, endurance and marksmanship. Competing teams had opportunities to learn about each other’s weaponry, equipment and squad-level tactics. Approximately 600 paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
