Soldiers from Company A, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Iowa Army National Guard, conduct a terrain familiarization recon in preparation for their upcoming mission in support of the 56th presidential inauguration. More than 1,000 Iowa Guard Soldiers and Airmen are in Washington, D.C. to assist local, state and federal law enforcement agencies with security requirements. This is the first time in its 170-year history that the Iowa National Guard has participated in a presidential inauguration.
