An AH-64 Apache attack helicopter from the 1-151st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, S.C National Guard, goes through the “bird bath” July 17, 2014, at Jacksonville Naval Air Station to wash off salt water residue acquired while conducting a training exercise with the U.S. Navy. The Soldiers and pilots participated in the unique training exercise with the U.S. Navy July 14-20, which allowed the Guard pilots to practice water extractions, something they rarely have the opportunity to do. The exercise was also an opportunity for pilots from different branches to collaborate and practice real-world missions. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Brad Mincey/Released)
