S.C. National Guard AH-64 Apaches, from the 1-151st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, loaded with 30mm rounds and 2.75 Folding Fin Aerial Rockets, take off from Jacksonville Naval Air Station to conduct live fire exercises July 17, 2014. The Soldiers and pilots participated in a unique training exercise with the U.S. Navy July 14-20, which allowed the Guard pilots to practice water extractions, something they rarely have the opportunity to do. The exercise was also an opportunity for pilots from different branches to collaborate and practice real-world missions and expose and correct any complications.
