Sgt. Carlos Lopez, a reconnaissance sergeant, from Vancouver, Wash., with the 671st Engineer Company out of Portland, Ore., and Canadian Sgt. Isaac Anderson, 33rd Canadian Brigade Group from Ottawa, Ontario, attached to the 671st Eng. Co., begin carrying their mock casualty forward as Sgt. Christopher Manley, a general equipment operator and Portland, Ore., resident, also with the 671st Eng. Co., clears a wall while competing in an obstacle course competition as part of Operation River Assault at Fort Chaffee, Ark., July16. The U.S. Army Reserve unit competed amongst each other for the best time in the scenario simulating transporting a casualty to a landing zone through obstacles with a log acting as a mock casualty.
