Spc. Anthony Chavez, a Soldier from the 253rd Engineer Battalion, performs a weapons check during the first day of the unit’s “Engineer Challenge,” the first of its kind for this unit. Soldiers were tested on basic warrior tasks and combat engineer skills, as a part of their annual training at Florence Military Reservation, June 19-20.
