Dominica Marine Police Constable Drew Charles has his gear checked and secured by Royal Canadian Navy Leading Seamen Josh Oldford, an instructor from Diving Fleet Atlantic on June 3. Members of the Royal Canadian Navy are instructing members from 11 Caribbean nations' Coast Guard, Navy and Marine Police units in diving techniques to help standardize procedures in search and inspection methods as part of Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined, exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
